Before Playing — Check the Hashed Server Seed
In your game settings, find the current server seed hash. This is the SHA-256 hash of the seed Degen has committed to for your session. It cannot be changed after you start playing.

Play Your Session
Each bet increments the nonce by 1. Your client seed stays constant unless you manually change it. Every game result is derived from: HMAC-SHA256(serverSeed, clientSeed + “:” + nonce).

Rotate Seeds or End Session
When you rotate to new seeds, Degen reveals the actual server seed for the just-completed session. The SHA-256 of this revealed seed will match the hash you saw at step 1 — proving it wasn’t changed.

Verify Any Past Result
Take any past bet’s server seed + client seed + nonce, compute HMAC-SHA256, and convert the output to a game outcome using the game’s documented conversion method. The result will match what was recorded. Full instructions at Provably Fair.
